Local Attractions

Festival of the Erne
Belturbet is home to the "Festival of the Erne" held annually for 10 days running to the August Bank Holiday Monday. A festival with entertainment for all ages, including major angling competitions, sports events, street theatre and marching bands.

Belturbet Railway Station
Restoration Project

The Station building is an original cut stone Great Northern Railway Station, which served Belturbet from October 1885 until its closure in March 1959. This is the only station designed by the architect Mills to be built entirely of cut stone on the GNR system, and one of its very few Grade 1 buildings.

Swan Island Farm
A visit to Swan Island Open Farm is a real treat for all the family with both rare and traditional farm animals to see and feed. We have many activities to keep children entertained including a play area, and of course, our own restaurant, Davy’s Cottage where a cup of tea or coffee and a sandwich or cake are always on hand.
Florence Court House
One of Ulster's most important 18th-century houses. Stunning backdrop of the Cuilcagh mountains. Exquisite rococo plasterwork and Irish furniture collection. 'Living History Tours', an entertaining insight into 1920s Florence Court. Famous Florence Court Yew - reputedly the 'parent' of all Irish yew trees.

Enniskillen Castle
Nestled amid Fermanagh's lakeland on the banks of the picturesque River Erne you will find Enniskillen Castle. This fine castle, once the home of the Gaelic Maguire chieftains, represents an important part of Fermanagh's rich history and heritage.

Enniskillen Castle presents an array of 19th century barracks buildings surrounding the Medieval Castle Keep; to the south with its distinctive turrets is the 17th century Watergate and to the east is the Heritage Centre built in 1992.
